Laila White is a multidisciplinary artist based in Spain, celebrated for her exceptional versatility as a dancer, photographer, and visual artist. Her life is shaped by a unique duality: two mothers, two crutches, and a twin sister—a combination that reflects her authenticity and singularity. From an early age, movement and photography have been her sanctuaries—spaces where shadows meet light and the unfinished takes shape. For Laila, art does not answer questions; it expands them. It is a constant exploration of fragmented stories and blurred boundaries between what is lost and what remains. Her crutches, inseparable and essential, are not merely physical supports but symbols of a profound complicity with the world she inhabits. "What would we be without this unique companionship?" she reflects, allowing her work to translate what words cannot express. In her work, Laila asks: how do movement and stillness, light and shadow, engage in dialogue within that which is never fully complete? Her pieces do not seek definitive answers but invite the viewer to find their own interpretation, to discover, in the incomplete, a reflection of their own experience.
